...the music commonly referred to as grunge. I say that big long title because grunge is such a broad category, spanning most "alternative" music out of the Pacific Northwest from the early/mid 80's through the early/mid 90s. My first favorite band was Nirvana, hence why that style of music holds a special place in my heart. It was such a diverse genre, with influences spawning punk, metal, pop, and classic psychedelia (don't believe me on that one? You obviously need to listen to Mother Love Bone). A little bit of something for everyone, all wrapped together into standardly scuzzy packaging. I think that's the only real requirement to be considered grunge. Must. Be. Fuzzy.
