Why is it that as I get older I hate the dentist more and more? When I was younger it didn't matter to me at all. Sure, fluoride was uncomfortable and made my lips really chapped, but I was okay with the dentist. Maybe it's because of all the teeth pulling, braces wearing, uncomfortable nighttime headgear, retainers, and my terrible fear that my gums are receding and I'm going to have to get surgery just like my dad. Heck, I even freaked out when they put my veneers on! All they do is glue them! Oy, and the anesthesia is the worst. That huge needle coming at you and there's nothing you can do to stop it because if you do you will be in even more horrible pain. Fucking dentists.
