The movie is about Jonathan (Cillian Murphy), a young man who early in the movie attempts to kill himself by driving over the edge of a cliff. He is given a choice, go to jail (the car he drove over the cliff was stolen), or enter a mental institution. Well jail wouldn't be that interesting in the context of this movie, so he obviously chooses to spend some time in the mental institution. While he is there he meets a new friend in Toby, and a love interest in Rachel. The film chronicles his relationship with these people, as well as with his doctor (played by Stephen Rea). It's an Irish film, so Cillian doesn't have to cover up his accent! Not to mention an exquisite soundtrack, including music from Smashing Pumpkins, Therapy?, and the Pixies. I highly recommend it.
