First of all, BP should stop trying to find someone to blame and just clean up their mess.
Second of all, why hasn't another major petroleum company come up with a solution? Think about it. If you're, say, Shell and you come of with a way to fix the massive hemorrhage (that isn't shooting garbage and various other nasty things at it in order to plug it up) then you'll be a national hero. And more people will buy your gas. Not only is it humanitarian and environmentalist, but it's a triumph of capitalism! This is America, after all. And if one company's loss can be another company's gain, well that should be reason enough to fix the spill!
