If I had been doing this say, 6 months ago, this would have been difficult. But in those past 6 months I have discovered, casually viewed, fallen in love with, and obsessively viewed THE MIGHTY BOOSH.
There is absolutely nothing better than it. It's fantastical and hilarious and original and aesthetically pleasing all in one package! I'm super excited for the movie and the albums (a series of EPs supposedly!). The best part is that the show makes you wanna be friends with all the characters. I would totally genre-jump with Vince and scat sing with Howard!
Not to mention that Julian Barratt kind of looks and acts like my father. Which is really fucking cool in my book. (On an unrelated note, I keep telling my dad to get a monocle and he won't do it. Back me up here? Monocles are sweet.)
My only current problem with The Mighty Boosh is that The Future Sailors tour is only out on DVD encoded for Region 2. Let's get on a US release shall we boys?! I don't want to have to buy a fancy DVD device to play it on! And I want the playing cards that come in the special edition.... Pretty please?
Some of my other favorite shows are The IT Crowd, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Reno 911, The Inbetweeners, Strangers With Candy, and Boy Meets World.
